Academic Biography
I am a mathematician, researcher and educator with a passion for using computational mathematics to improve healthcare outcomes and teaching of mathematics. I hold a BSc. in Mathematics, where my research focused on Topological Data Analysis for breast cancer dataset classification using the Mapper Algorithm. During my national service, I served as a Teaching and Research Assistant in the Mathematics Department, contributing to both academic instruction and research. My current research focuses on building a Non-Contact Deep Learning-Based Computer Vision Framework for Real-Time Respiratory Rate Estimation, aimed at early pediatric pneumonia screening in low-resource settings. This work sits at the intersection of deep learning, computer vision and child health and represents my belief that data science can save lives when pointed in the right direction. Beyond research, I believe that data driven decisions are only as powerful as the leadership willing to implement them. That conviction drives me to take on leadership roles wherever I find myself. I am family oriented, grounded in purpose and committed to building a healthier future through mathematics, data and service.
