Academic Biography
Jonathan Kalami is an MPhil candidate at the National Institute for Mathematical Sciences (NIMS Ghana) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a fellow of the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) DS-CHANGE program. His research sits at the intersection of computational medicine and African population health, with a current focus on deep-learning based diagnosis of pediatric bone fractures in the Ghanaian clinical setting. His technical expertise spans medical image analysis, and multi-omics data integration with a special interest in the development of precision medicine frameworks applicable to Africans. Jonathan's passion is to work toward solutions to health problems through data in low- and middle-income countries.
